Though it was worth a bump as it seems to permanent price, its also on the new menu. I know its not a huge bargain, but i think its decent price for a restaurant. Pity the price of the food wasnt a little cheaper

Eddie Rockets is still reasonable value.
Time for other restaurants to start dropping prices.
The carvery lunches are starting to get in line.
    Lots not for 8 euro.

Just to note, Eddie Rockets have a notice on their menu saying beer will only be served with a substantial meal.

Don't know if this is enforced on not though!

Yes, it is worth knowing as most people would not expect that they have beer. Also if you were out and wanted a burger you might end up paying over the odds for a coke to go with it. If you got a burger in some random pub you are taking your chances too, my money would be on eddies being better.

I hope others start to get licences, like mc donalds or burgerking, dunno if they did try and get licences here before.

TGI fridays have €4 pints -all pints, and this is all the time, i.e. not just certain days or times.

In another thread I think somebody just had to get a burger. I expect this is not only to get more business and to stop people just using it like a pub -but I imagine it could be a legal thing, i.e. probably a restaurant licence or something, like how some nightclubs used to have to give out food years ago (some might still do).

The substantial meal rule is a bit of a kicker. It would be nice to get some grub and then get tanked up on Ken, but unfortunately Eddie Rockets is family orientated and a 'clean' place to eat so loud, drunken patrons would tarnish the atmosphere
