Get yer bums in gear boys!! :p

    Possible job opportunities : Pubs!

Ring around a few of them if you are interested in pub work.
No harm in ringing during May before you go out. Plus some of them will be able to advise you of where to live or if they know of any places.

If not make a note of their addresses and go around to them anyway. The locals in them are very helpful to fellow Irish folks "just off the boat" and can help you get work and possibly places to stay.

Let me know if you get work in any of the pubs as I'll be popping up to Boston on my weekends off :D

    *cough* free shots *cough*

    :pac:

You might also consider visiting the North America forum for threads and posts on Boston?

Na! My mates got in fine to pubs and they had never worked behind the bar. It only takes a night or two until you get use to pulling the pints. Just take your time :D

I haven't worked in a bar in a year now so I'll probably be a bit rusty when I get out there but it will be grand.
Barwork is deadly out there and you will meet soooo many new people and make new mates. Normally the same J1 folk land out each summer too esp in Boston. They just fall in love with the place.

Have you had your interview yet?
Mine is next week and I'm going to be trying to get this digital photo correct for this online form. aaarrggghhhh!

I've never heard about the 2 weeks unpaid training??
I'll kick their bums if that's the case!

Moving companies are a good choice too. Handy money in it.
    Good luck finding work! :)

Yeah got mine next wednesday at 10am, got all my forms done though, bloody photos cost 16euro to get done (just wanted to be sure to be sure)!!

To be honest i'd take any type o work over there but bar work or something outside would be fairly good i'd say!:D

Oh thank GOD!!! Someone who has gotten everything sorted.

I'm sending you a PM about the photo thing so as not to bring this thread off topic :)

Travelling by yourself Wooooooooooo rocks! :D

EDIT: I see you only have 18 posts so you won't be able to leave me a visitor message until you hit the 25 post mark. Not sure if that stands for PM's too. :(:/
