IPhone Bricked

Can anyone help me with my phone.

I deleted the settings and all content on my iphone using the general setting options. The iphone switched off and started to reboot, the Mac logo was on the screen and a loading bar was below it. Basically i had to turn the phone off at the time but it was only half finished loading so i ended up holding the home and power button to switch it off.

Now it wont turn on (which i wasn't that surprised by) but itunes wont recognise it either. The only response i can get out of it is if i hold down the power button the mac logo appears against the black screen.:confused::(

Is the iPhone showing up as an external device on your desktop or folders? If not, try and see if it shows up on another computer with iTunes updated and see if it will let you update your firmware on the phone first off. Hopefully it will complete the update and get you back into business.

I assume that it hasn't been jailbroken or anything....

It's booting. After what happened before, this might take a while. Plug it into the charger and try again. If the Apple logo comes up, leave it alone and see if it comes back. Don't do another hard reboot while it's doing this.

    Try this?

    1. Get it into iPhone Recovery mode.
    2. Restore in iTunes

It comes up and after about a minute it just turns off. My mac nor my pc is recognising it and they both have the latest itunes update.

    No problem!

DFU mode can be tricky. Often times switching the cable to a different USB port is enough.

    Glad it's all sorted!

Yeah i've had to do it before and it really can be tricky to get the timing right.
