    hi,

just wondering if anyone has any advice. i am 5 months pregnant (father is not involved although i do intend to seek maintenance) i own my own home. i was made redundant last year, got another job a few months later but am on a lot less money than the original job. my mortgage payment is approx 50% of my current salary and just dont know how i will survive on state maternity benefit - i cant rely on the maintenance at this point i dont know how long that will take to come through. anyway, i wont qualify for single parents as you need to earn below 425/week.

so wondering if there is some mortgage benefit similar to the rent allowance for single parents available?

This is a forum for legal discussions, I don't know what you are doing asking this here. Perhaps you might go here: www.citizensinformation.ie and check out the revenue or social welfare section.

We don't do legal advice here either. Good luck in your quest for information.
