Gamestop and Game both stock it, I have no idea how much though.

Yes. RTÉNL1 and RTÉNL2. Both can be seen through DTT. There is a thread about them on the Terrestrial board.

update - I ended up buying a USB DVB-T stick to use in my PC - works great ! ironically spotted the PlayTV in Marks&Spencers yesterday for €75, all of the above shops mentioned either didn't sell them, or didn't have them in stock.

Depends of what signal you have, aerial, NTL...?

I have 5 digital channels. City, Setana, Euro News and something else...
I think City is the best channel. Almost every night from 12am to 6am is PureMusic
And during the day couple of times.
If you will get PlayStationTV you can record PureMusic and play it later ;)

You are receiving cable tv with a digital terrestrial receiver? Play TV is Digital Terrestrial only.

PlayTV hardware is being upgraded for HD and 3D. I'd hold out.

It's a software update not hardware the currently available PlayTV will work. PlayTV is incompatible with the UK Freeview HD, as it uses the DVB-T2 standard but is fine for the rest of Europe in HD .
