Hi am nearly an 18 year old guy and I'm not that happy in my life.I am gay and I don't want to be and thia is the biggest reason for this.
I find when I'm lonely or sad which is most of the time all I do is eat and eat. for example on Saturday I had 3 rashers 4 pices of pudding and 2 egg's and 2 ceral bars for breakifast then for luch I had 3 potaoes and a big pice of steak the i had a slice of cheese cake and 5 rice krispe buns and then later in the afternoon I had garlic bread and soup and then at about 11 I had a snack box and a bar and half an eater egg. I could eat more than this alot of day depending on how I'm feeling and then sometimes I take the attitude that I have to stop eating and then I will ending up feeling bad and eating more again.
Is this possible to have an eatind disorder that you eat to much??

    Of course it's possible.

That is probably close to 10,000 Kcals you consumed there.

Far too much for one day.

You should talk to your G.P. about it, sounds like it's definitely linked to depression, the food makes you feel better for a brief time.

Yes over eating or comfort eating can be an eating disorder.
Lots of people who are not happy distract/comfort themsleves with food for a whole range of reasons. It's not healthy, I suggest you get help dealing with the issues in play.

You are 18, I would consider what you are eating to be quite OK, that isn't all that much as far as I can tell.

Are you overweight? Are you generally unhealthy?

I eat alot when I get bored too, but if it isn't affecting your weight and health you are fairly OK. It's a pretty standard thing to eat alot when you are between 15 and 22 I would think.

Looking at your list I was thinking to myself "is that all", I used to eat far more than that out of sheer boredom rather than hunger.

A Doctor might call it an eating disorder, and far be it for me to question their knowledge, but if you are eating just out of boredom, then relieve the boredom rather than the food.

I eat because it's the only way I feel happy. I just keep on eating the whole time and I know it's wrong but it makes me feel happy.

That's a healthy BMI. Your BMI rising 4 points in a year would be more likely because you are reaching the end of puberty than the food you eat. You will fill out more fully before settling in to it.

I doubt that could be described as a healthy relationship with food. There is nothing wrong with food making you happy, food makes me REALLY happy, but it's odd that it's the ONLY thing to make you happy!
