I'm writing an essay about the sociology of education in relation to social class.

I'm writing away and coming up with my own ideas and such, but would love to be able to back the stuff up with theorists ideas.

However as I'm not a sociologist I don't know what theorists said or thought what.

Was wondering if someone would be willing to send me in the right direction?

I don't want to post elememts of my essay here, but if someone was willing to help, could they please PM me?

    Thanks very much in advance

I'd recommend you read some of Pierre Bourdieu's work on education, it would probably be very close to what you're looking for.

If you just search for keywords on jstor under sociology, if you have access to it, you'll find something either by, or about Bourdieu/education.

Did an essay on the same subject.
    +1 for Bourdieu.
