Right lads, I won't be renewing my Deer Hunting hobby as it takes me away from wife and kiddies too much while they are small (wife isn't a small person, children are young!)

Therefore there is no further point in hanging on to the nicest rifle I've ever owned, or seen!

    Image058.jpg

My auld lad was a gun dealer, so when I wanted a Deer hunting rifle I had my pick at trade price. This is what I picked! All the things I liked and nothing I didn't.

Good calibre for Deer, nice bit of wood, not a silly stock shape, single set trigger, spooned bolt handle, candy cane twist barrel, short, double magazine release so it doesn't drop under recoil, German engineering, accurate, hard hitting, lovely piece.

It's wasted on me now, hasn't had 300 rounds down it, barrel barely broken in if at all!

I would like to trade this gun for a .22rimfire, FAC Airgun or .17hmr...

A bunny blaster would see more use from me, so if you've a decent gun in good nick and are looking to get into Deer hunting we can do a deal.

Seeing this is a for sale forum, guideline on this is €800, but am willing to trade for a cheaper gun in .22 etc. as long as it's in good nick and accurate enough for rabbit.

I am including the gun, Steyr scope mounts (not the tip off ones, my best friend had those and they don't return to zero!) scope and sling. The scope is some no name I put on when my Bushnell Trophy died, sling is a neoprene Butler Creek number that takes the jerky shock out of carrying the gun. Flip up scope covers also if that matters?

Not really looking for a shotty lads, not a type of shooting I've ever done. A decent Sako, CZ, Ruger, Remmy, Browning et al and we can do a swap gun for gun, sort the dealer out between us?

This is a very good gun that's had no abuse ever, whoever has a swap is getting the better deal but I'd prefer to see her in use than cut up in fairness.

I'll give this a couple weeks before I see if I can get rid of it abroad, best of luck lads!

(formerly Musashi in case my low post count puts anyone off, I'm around a good while!)
