    They come in 2.0 with 127hp or 2.2 with 148 or 175hp.

As a matter of interest, what would be the max speed of the 127hp version? and how fast would it do 0-60mph?

A quck search didn't find any specs, they aren't really a top speed or 0-60 sort of car though.

my wife has a 05 verso 2l diesel 114bhp and it takes ages to get to 60 and i've done 150 kmh in it but its only a 5 speed. From what i've read the t180 is the only one to get if you want a bit of poke

the 2.0 127 and 2.2 148 were the only diesels available in Ireland.

    The 2.0 does 0-60 in 10.3 and the 2.2 148 does it in 9.3

    The 2.2 T-180 does 0-60 in 8.6

The older 116hp engine wasn't nearly as free revving and the 6 speed makes progress a lot easier too.

If you're concerned with 0-60 times then an Avensis will not be your ideal car.
