what is the best version of linux to use on a tablet?

specifically if i buy a notion ink atom tablet.

What is the best app that is like skim for editing and adding notes to pdfs on that mobile linux distro.

Do the mobile versions use all the apps available for the main distro.

    Thanks in advance.

Ubuntu netbook remix would probably be worth trying since its good on atom netbooks, ubuntu should have as much tablet support as other linux versions

I'm willing to bet money that it'd be rubbish for the same reasons that windows would be....it's not designed with a touch interface in mind.

UBR is best linux i've used on netbook, great for small screen. Definitely support for touch screen. Didn't like chromium, just too limited. Might be info on ubuntu on the Latitude 2100 around the net

The biggest reason I want a tablet is for college notes and the likes.

So editing pdfs and adding notes to pdfs has to be possible, and as far as I see android nor iphone os has any apps to do that.

Besides that Android is great. But I also heard it doesn't scale well to a ten inch screen with more mem etc.
    Could be bs.

Anyway I will check out the Latitude 2100 and see what the reviews say.

Netbooks are starting to ship with Android
Thing is, we are at the very early days of Android development, its only gaining momentum.

you just answered you own question slightly with the second part.

tablets shipped with windows - that also didnt work so well. slightly diff but still an os which is not optimized for the device it runs on.
