Fingal is the only site that runs the zombie horror game and its an experience not to miss, its the most intense heart pounding night game in airsoft. From start to finish you're adrenaline is pumping, you never know where a zombie is, at the start its calm but as the night game progresses well so does the virus;) as the zombies become more agressive and thirsty and atack anything that moves, but watch out there smart, they work in small numbers trapping their next meal away from the rest of his team;)

I've been to all 4 of the dark mist games at Fingal and each time gets better and better:D Best moment for me was attacking the killhouse and hearing a low mumble behind me and all the lads i was with turned and shone a torch through the breachpoint and a zombie was sittin there breathing heavy, you can imagine what happened next:p more zombies appeared in front of us, and well we had no chance to run;)

It truly is the best night game ever created for airsoft, it's definately a must play game for any airsofter out there, and the most popular by far with high demand and high numbers each time. Unfortunately the next one isn't til the summer i'm afraid, but make sure you go to it, two nights of fear and boodthirsty zombies ;) definately a must go;)

basicly you have your two teams, US and RUSSIAN,
they'll have their objectives to complete.
midway through the game the zombies will be introduced to the gameplay.
    The rules for zombies are;

do not shoot a zombie unless under attack, provoking the zombie draws attention to you and could result in being attacked or surrounded.

to kill a zombie you must place 4 single shots to the zombie, both legs and arms, even after shootin the legs the zombie will crawl so take out its arms and it's referred to as dead until a later time when it comes back into the game, basicly the objective of a zombie is to make it difficult for both teams to complete their task also adding fear into the gameplay.
head shot are not allowed, as the zombies wear masks that sometimes expose bare skin, so keep the shots to a minimum of body legs and arms.

to capture a zombie, single shot to both legs, wile it down place two gun sling around his arms, one per arm. this zombie is then in your command and will obey your orders for 10 minutes, so you can tell him to attack the other team and the zombie will go off and attack.

as the games go on, zombie attacks will be unprovoked and when you least expect it so watch your fire, try to avoid them as much as possible and complete the objectives.

we always have high numbers around 30-40 per night as its always in demand;)

    Hope this helped;)

Check out the last Dark Mist thread here , the whole Dark Mist series has an evolving story line that we prepare in the months leading up to the event.

We have the next instalment in the works and this will be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend followed by one more over the Halloween period, the next one will have more twists than a Rasta mans hair do!:D:D

If you have not played in one.... well you just have to get your butt to one Rory to experiance the pure fear of the hoard coming at you! ( a true crap your pants moment:eek: ););) Read over the last few Dark Mist threads and you'll see what I mean.:)

Its a good idea to get out to a normal skirmish before hand so you know the lay of the land before you start stumbling round in the dark.

ah i intend to, don't really plan on jumping in at the deep end, so to speak!

I'd love to check out one of these games. The Mall in Reading (UK) runs a Dawn of the Dead style game,

I heard you start off with no weapons but a foam baseball bat :p and you have to scout around for guns and ammo.

do the zombies wear holloween masks or just goggles or how are they distinguished?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,511 ✭✭✭Damo 2k9

I'd imagine the raggy clothes, moaning noises and the way they walk would distinguish them :P
