Pubs/clubs closed early in North during Easter weekend.

    Hey,

    In Derry at the moment, it seems that all the pubs/clubs are closed early this weekend. Just wondering why? And if per chance there is a pub/club that's open late?

    Erm no.. Maybe just because it's easter they shut everywhere on holidays and tomorrow being sunday will be even more boring

    It's because thne Government is under the thumb of the Catholic Church and the licensing laws follow from that.

    Oh hang on - you said Derry. Different country with different church ruling the roost - after all why have Papism when your can have dour Paisleyism of Presbyterianism ?

    no i think derry is a catholic place.. im sure it is anyway.. you shouldve caught on by now:P but they arnt shut because of religion we arnt like that.. its shut because its easter and they are lazy here so they shut everywhere early when they get the chance..

    not in derry or a pub, but just home from dropping my mates to the pub and the 24 hour tesco in maynooth is closed. loads of people showing up but cant get in. i presume it has something to do with easter.
