have had small red spots on front of tongue for about 6 weeks, dentist today said it was nothing to worry about and could be diet related.i'm still worried though. does anybody else have this? or has anyone ever treated this? thnaks.

To be fair the tongue can reflect your general health.I'd get a gp to look and maybe do a blood test to put you at ease.usually it may indicate your diet is defficient in B vitamins or Iron.

agree with digzy. 99% of the time a patchy tongue like that is something to do with iron defic, and less commonly vit b12.
there's loads of different things from ulcers to geographic tongue that can be diet related, but if you were told not to worry about it, then you should be ok.
