I'm gonna bounce this from "Things to do in" to "Limerick" forum. They probably have had the question before and would know.

Do UL still rent out apartments in Dromroe etc during the summer?
They used to before anyways and it was pretty cheap, might be a bit away from the "action" though, depends on what you plan on doing in Limerick, transport arrangements etc.

Are the ul apartments far from the city centre? Staying for 2 nites for concert in thomond park & will be going out aswell so would be looking for something central. Will be driving to limerick but not while above.

The UL appartments are in Castletroy which is at the opposite side of the city to where Thomand Park is Castletroy is probably a 30/40 min walk to the city centre, there is a bus service but it finishes before midnight, after that a taxi is your best bet.

To be honest I would look for something either in the city centre or at least on the same side of the city as Thomand Park. LIT is right next to Thomand Park so maybe you could chance accomodation around there. Also try hotels such as the Absolute, Clarion, Clarion Suits, George Boutique, Jurry's Inn, Greenhills or Radison at a stretch.
