So many lessons can be learnt from Star Wars - Episode III about the common good taking precedent over personal gain in this movie !! :)

100 years from now, they might be trying to decode hidden messages from those films like the Da Vinci and his works today! :pac:

    Of course they don't.

They would have come up with some half decent ideas by now if they did...

I suppose if you are a FF TD...would you really want to come on here to listen to the abuse that we dish out?

So the lesson is that evil wins and take over until the opposition can get their act together.

Based on starwars we have another 10 or so years to wait.

Dunno, Star Wars took place a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Plus they seemed to be ruled by monarchies of sorts.

    That, or fascist dictatorships.

As bad as FF are, I'd stop short of comparing them to fascism..

    Here, less of that.

Just because you don't want to culture yourself, doesn't mean the rest of us shouldn't.

They might read internet boards, though....it's only crucial, relevant reports that they don't bother reading before diving in to bail out their mates.

The political world of Star Wars is lifted primarily from history of the foundation of Roman Empire. For perspective it is topped off with a healthy dose of Republican bashing (critical of both Nixon and W.Bush's administrations). Whilst presented as a simple childrens story it's actually working on a level of complexity far above the grubby-hands, favours-for-favours and brown-envelopes of Irish politics and I doubt any of this would even be twigged greedy fat bastards we have ruining this country.

    /angry nerd.
