A friend of mine has just moved into a new house, and brought his sky box with him, the house has a sky dish already installed from the previous occupant, however, its sky+ (two cables in sitting room, and one in bedroom) and his is just a normal box, my question is, is it possible to plug in just a normal sky box in the sitting room to either one of the feeds for the plus and it will just work away or is there something more that needs to be done, because the box is saying that it isn't getting signal.

    Thanks

Ah right, just as I suspected so, but I tried it last night for him and it said that the box wasnt getting a signal, maybe the dish isn't aligned properly or something.

may also be cut / disconnected along the way does it go straight from dish to decoder or does it go via an attic etc
