Dell Inspiron 1720 - upgrade graphics Card

    I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 and I would like to upgrade the graphics card.
    What are the best cards available. ( Can spend a reasonable amount )
    This is an area in which I have little knowledge.
    All help would be appreciated.

    Isn't that a laptop? What GPU does it already have? The highest it can go is the 8600m GT and yours probably has it already. Any further upgrade would require buying a new laptop :(

    That's the card that is in it, since its pushing two years old, I thought that an upgrade/next gen would be available by now.
