Hi there. Can anyone advise how to submit a single for review? Also, where are the best places to do so, both hard copy and internet. Thanks in advance

I have never really thought about this but I would contact the website, magazine or whatever that you want to do the review directly. They will presumably give you a contact that you can send your music to. As for where would be best, it would depend on the genre. There wouldn't be much point sending in a cd of gospel choir music to Metal Hammer magazine for example :).

    Keep it simple!

If you're talking about sending something to someone (or directing them to it online) don't make it too hard.

Just call the publication and ask how to submit it... they get the question endlessly and will point you in the right direction.

    Easy!

Hotpress Yearbook would be your best bet for a link.

Though feel free to send a link to damien@musicnews.ie and I'll give it a listen

Hey, the best advice I ever got re: finding places to get reviews was to think of similar artists, look (i.e. google) for reviews of these artists and if they are good reviews (not just positive, but well written - very important!) contact them and ask how to submit stuff for review.

Soooooooooooooo many people just stick a band name into google + the word review (i.e.: Pearl Jam Ten Review) and there's no guarantee, especially for independent stuff, that the first review that pops up is going to be from a mainstream publication. In fact, these days many online reviews pop up in the top search results...

So track down reviews and don't be biased. If the reviews are well written people will read it and that'll suit you just fine.
