Meteor GPRS Signal Boost?

I have meteor broadband to go and when I am at home it is bearable but I am away in a town in West Clare for the weekend and the only signal I have is GPRS which allows for a maximum download speed of 53 kbps. This isn't even enough for checking email, especially since it doesn't even reach half this speed. I wouldn't have been able to load boards at all except for the fact I decided to use boards mobile (m.boards.ie) through my laptop after the full version failed to load after 5 minutes.

I am just wondering whether there is anyway to boost my signal to something usable?

    Regards,
    Jackobyte.

Don't think so! AFAIK meteor only cover major towns and cities. Outside of this all you can get is GPRS and a max speed of 56kbps not that you will actually even get that!

Shíte. I'll be here during the summer as well. Hopefully they spread the coverage before then because this is useless.

From what I have heard they are rolling out MBB at a fast pace, not sure about their exact plans though.
