    +1

I love that festival. Tis great for coming out of the pub and the lovely smells hit ya from all the foods being cooked.

The French lad who helps organise it is gas, met him a few times.

Last year we were just gonna head home from Downeys and a crowd who had a stall doing Steak sandwiches were in the pub drinking and went around asking who wanted a sandwich, then they went out and fired up the grill. Walked out the door and twas ready for me. Nicest grub I had in a while.

You're talking about something completely different!! The FRENCH MARKET has NOTHING to do with THE FESTIVAL OF FOOD!

The French Market is held during the Feile Na nDeise Trad music festival on the bank holiday weekend I think .. not during the food festival

    Firstly
I honestly Hope the people and 99 percent of the business of Dungarvan have a great weekend .

But for one jumped up hotel ,
    I HOPE ITS A DISASTER ,
I HOPE ANYTHING THAT CAN GO WRONG ,DOES ......
I HOPE THE DECISION MAKERS AT THIS HOTEL COME DOWN WITH SOME NICE UNCURABLE RASH .

    Sorry for the rant ,
but This hotel took our booking three months ago for our highlight event of the Year, Our Annual Youth Awards , An event that numerous young people have been working tirelessly on for the last two months. An event that youth clubs from all over the county will be attending . Invitations have been send ,buses booked ,fees paid . Everybody looking forward to this Saturday Night and what happens WE ARE INFORMED LAST NIGHT [3 nights notice] THAT THE HALL IS NOT AVAILABLE ,THAT ITS BEEN USED FOR A FESTIVAL EVENT :mad: Thanks ALOT .

I have no problem naming this hotel ,if the mods give permission.

ps thank god another Dungarvan hotel has stepped in and saved the day.

4 if you include the Clonea Strand Hotel & The Gold Coast ... but they are outside the City centre ... then you´ve the Tannery Guesthouse & quite a few award winning B&B´s

..... but just 2 hotels in the centre!
