Hi all - just got my first laptop & an having problems connecting to wireless broadband - as in I dont have a clue how to do it. We're with Imagine for phone line & broadband & have a Belkin router. Imagine think its a router problem - could be this as the wireless light isn't coming on on the router. I can see what connections are available but cant seem to connect to any. Im sure its something simple but its our first laptop so it all seems so confusing!! Anyone able to shed some light on it? Ta

Can you see what connections are available on your laptop, click on the belkin and put in your wep key, it should be that easy

Yea that's the one, put that in your laptop when it looks for the key to connect, you should be up and running then..

Make sure to place a unique WEP on the router or people in the neighbourhood will be able to crack it. For that matter, change it from a WEP to at least a WPA-2.

We've disconnected the extra router we had & just using the original modem now. We have a wep key which i assume is covering the above security suggestions? Seems to be all ok now anyways!:)
