So finally I join the List of the Banned from AAM.

    1270214306070376300.jpg

And, personally by Mr. B.B. himself.

So I feel privileged in a way, should I??

And all because I had the audacity to call out a VI poster, who was giving "advice" on Health Insurance products, without revealing their VI in selling these products.

Mr. B. took exception to this, and the fact that I was prepared to try to debate it with him by PM to explain my position.

The fact that I was probably one of the original ppl on the site, back to the early 2000's, well before it's vBulletin days, actually in the ezboard days.

I have contributed multiple posts and threads on various subjects from IT issues to Social Welfare/Mortgages/Banking/Politics, all intended to be helpful. Most hopefully were, including to Mr. B.B. whose knowledge of IT issues is pretty basic.

Also, as I pointed out to Mr. B.B. I have contributed to the site in a monetary way, giving several sums by PayPal.

Of course, none of this mattered to the Great Dictator, who is more interested in policing people posts for so-called bad language, like "This is a seriously ph***ed-up country".

THat's my experience, after about 6 or so years, walking on egg-shells around Clubman/B.B. et al.

This Forum(AAM) surely has run it's course??

    Thanks for listening.

I think its a good site but it is far too strict. I never post on it in fear of Mr B. taking out the sally rod :D

It was a good site, mainly because people posted good advice there, and put in a lot of time and research to make sure the advice was good.

Also, if people had a VI, it is only common courtesy to disclose this to people who log on for independent advice.

I mean even Mr. B got it spectacularly wrong when he was advising ppl to switch their mortgages to INBS to avail of a possible windfall on demutualisation.

Of course, I got a warning when I pointed this out to him.

I just hope no-one took his advice.

He's a tool and i wouldn't dream of joining his fantasy site...

The thing is, I like to post in the same manner that i would speak to people in person. He doesn't, he uses his bully boy tatics to get his points across and if you challenge him - your banned

To see the gradual decline of the site is something i take joy in watching. It is also good for Boards.ie when posters realise that a site like this is not run by powerhouse dictators, and is a joy to contribute too.

(Ps. I cant belive you donated to the site )

I don't know how anyone takes BB seriously. It says a lot about the state of this country's finances when someone like him is considered a financial expert. "I couldn't see we were in a bubble". That's either gross incompetence or a lie.
