I have a Teac R1 but it won't take a charge anymore. It takes a pack of 6x1.5v batteries soldered together (and covered with plastic) and linked with a plastic connector - does anyone know where I could pick up a replacement battery pack like this?

Have you tried using a ppo3 rechargable battery with your radio, convert battery leads to take pp3

Maplin have some 6x1.5v packs for various R/C.

Also the FT817 uses a 6 x 1.5V pack, replacements are available online.

A pp3 has very little capacity. What sort of size of batteries does the Teac use?
