    hellow there!

I am having some little problems with my ppk/s, also the full metal version like you got.
So I am very glad to see a topic about this one!

When I got it about 7 days ago, it worked perfect in the beginning, but after some mags, it started to shoot full auto
Problem it seems was the spring in the magazine came vertical...
    magazine%20spring.JPG

This caused the flute valve wich in maruzen guns is not located within the guns loading nozzle, but in the magazine, to be misplaced so it cannot do its job properly, causing the gas output to be directed to the blowback chamber only, hence the full auto problem.
Also I tempered with 1 of the 2 pins at the bottom of the mag, now I cant close it and it leaks gas from the bottom, so I have bought a full new Maruzen magazine, wich is better anyhow.
So I tought the problem woul be solved by than, but not really.

It sometimes still shoots full auto, but only when I squeeze the trigger fully, when I do not squeeze it fully, it shoots semi auto.
So I thought that the valve release of the new mag is sticking.
And indeed when I push the valve release on the mag, it doesn't return smoothly, it did stick a bit, so it needs some silicon oil...
Because the fact the pistol works on semi with a short trigger pull and full auto with a full trigger pull would indicate that the valve is staying open longer than it should.
Logic solution would be to lubricate it, wich I did, and so I hoped problem solved finally, but no, it still goes on full auto when squeezing hard

So now I really do not know what the problem is that is causing my gun not to work 100% all the time.
Can it be the gun itself?

there is a "spring" (dont know the right term) behind the left handgrip that seems to do nothing...
    spring.jpg
its just there for no reason it seems, its behind the thing that moves when you cock the hammer or pull the trigger...
    Is this also normal?

I will take some pictures of mine this evening so you can compare the position of that spring.

The loading nozzle is not meant to go back on its own, it does not need to.

The little sprung valve in the mag is easily fixed as is a leak, if you have the broken mag it can be fixed. If you buy a small bottle of brake fluid, you can soak the rubber seals in it, don't leave it longer than 30 minutes before refitting, they swell up in the fluid.

Okay, that would help me a lot if you could compare! :)

And thx about the nozzle thing, that excludes an option to worry about :)

But my mag is good, its a brand new maruzen mag. The spring inside it is placed well also.

So still a mystery why it sometimes shoots full auto

Probably that spring on the side. How is the original magazine though?

the original mag is a goner, I fiddled with it too much that I have destroyed it, but np, I got a maruzen one.
so mag-wise, I should be safe....

and you have also this clone or the original maruzen? can you confirm that the spring is located otherwise on yours?
edit: only this evening you can confirm from what I read in your original post :)

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

the problem was actually the gun itself, namely that stupid little "spring"
It jumped to the right of that grey piece and it had to be on the left of that grey piece.

This is how it should look:
    IMAG0242.jpg

It seems that gray piece controls the direct contact with the valve release on the mag....

Glad you got it sorted. Must take mine out again and give her some lovin.

Glad you got it fixed, I had totally forgotten about this thread.

    thx!

and I must repeat, the gun itself is very good and very solid!
A must for that kind of money!!

But it can be mistaken for a cheap chinese no good copy of a (more expensive and plastic) quality product JUST because of a problem that can't be sorted out...

So I hope that this topic will rule out that misunderstanding of this very fine gun.
Cause, the full auto problem I had was due to the magazine and in a later stage due to a simple spring that got misplaced.
But nothing essential broke or bend, and thats the main advantage of this gun, it is of a very good build quality!

Only "bad thing" about it, is the paint quality :) (and of course the stock magazine)
There is some little chipping here and there, but you can look at it this way: it looks like it has been on a real battle field or something :)

Other than that, best ppk airsoft on the market!

Whats the problem list on the original mag? I'd nearly take it off you for spares/repair if you were in dublin.

well I have pushed out 1 of the 2 pins at the bottom, and it was a bitch to reinsert them.

It used to leak out of those holes. But now I dont hear it leak, but when I want to shoot with it, the gas just gets out and/or the blowback is puffy.
Could be the spring on top too, wich isnt too good also.

Dunno actually for sure about whats the real problem with that mag, but I cant use it anymore.

Those pins only go in one way, one side is usually knurled.

I use small allen keys and a light hammer to tap them in and out, could be easy to do.

Or if ye don't want it I'd give ye a few bob for it.

Thats not airsoft, thats bogger :p

    Bob = quid :)

Have a look if ye can fix it yourself first though, would be worth having two mags for yourself.

well, I have already looked into it.

gas ejects almost fully, and little that rest makes gun do a fluffy blowback.

I cant here leak outside the holes anymore, but the spring always comes out vertically.

So I give up, no point in spending time into this mag.
I will buy a 2nd and 3rd Maruzen mag in time anyhow...

The magazine that came with my PPK/S had the special feature of falling out every time I started shooting

A couple weeks later I got my 2 maruzen mags and now no trouble at all

I also received a Guarder Enhanced Loading Muzzle for the PPK/S and was hoping that someone might now where to find a video or walk trough on replacing the muzzle :)

    Any help would be awesome

I never found any guide, with pics or a vid, to help install that part.

But can someone explain what the effects are of that new part?
    increased fps?

TBH bar the mag there's nothing wrong with it, I wouldnt bother with tinkering with upgrades that TBH will make minimal difference.

On that, found out the leak in mine is actually the "O" ring on the baseplate. Takes about an hour from full to empty but the majority of the pressure is lost in the first ten minutes. Cant really see any way to tighten it more as the pins are where they are.

I know you can engorge rubber seals, what should I soak it in?
