    Hi
I have been looking into becoming a driving instructor with the Irish school of motoring.

The cost of training for the r.s.a exams is €2000 and the exams cost €550 to sit €150 for stage 1, €200 for stage 2 & 3 ,if you fail any stage you have to pay again

Just woundering if anyone know anything about this area and is it worth it.

Do you think there is money to be made in this

    Thanks in advance
    Nige

You might get a better response over in the Learning to Drive Forum. It's occasionally discussed there and several of the regular posters are instructors.

It one of those jobs where you can start making decent money quite quickly and have a lot of flexitility in the hours that you work.

However, your salary will not change much in the future, unless you increase your hours.

Making 20-30k a year soon after starting out is nice, especially in your early 20's but you will be still making the same money when you are 60.

There's is no career ladder to climb really.
