Boosting - I've seen it all!

About 1 week ago or so, I was in a FFA game with 5 people on Highrise. Took an early lead then all of a sudden I noticed I was a good 250 points behind. yep, boosters.

I spent about a minute looking for them, found them under the stairs in one the buildings and got shot before i could kill them.

But heres the best part. After I died, this guy (lets call him the Runner) came running towards me in the middle of the map. I shot him, then turned the corner and he was running at me again - making no attempt to kill me. This went on for 7 kills, called in my harriers and used my predator but was still losing. Took a look at the score, and the dude boosting at the top had just died. Also noticed a few more had entered the game.

Next time I met "the Runner" he was all about shooting me, was obvious what happened. There was a third guy helping the boosters, preoccupying me by letting me kill him so the other dudes could boost! Thats the only explanation I have for it!

is there really a need to keep starting threads about boosting there is about 100 of them in the call of duty/xbox/ps3 pages.

we know it goes on get over it...

we dont need to keep hearing about it.

Yeah you're right sorry...I just found this one interesting as a third party went to the bother of letting me kill him to keep me away from the boosters

Having said that the first 2 pages there is no threads bar a "private boosting" one, but still I apologize!

Nothing better than going around a corner and finding boosters. 2 couldn't keep count yesterday, the game winning kill was a boost!

I keep hearing about boosters but I've played over 1000 matches and haven't seen any yet.Or maybe I just haven't noticed.Pretty sure i would though.

Really depends on game type...ffa is rampant with them whereas in TDM or MTDM they are rare.Only came across them once in TDM.Thing to look out for are people with 24/0 kill death ratio and some one with 0/24 K/D. also a nuke goin g off after 2 minutes of the game is a give away:D

are they free for all ? because thats normally their best gametype for playing in . any other game type and they might end up on the same team and that wouldnt work out very well now would it

i really cant understand it i mean i looked into boosting myself to be honest like all the methods to doing it but wheres the sattisfaction ? who cares what anyone else thinks of you online like you dont know these people . i got my nuke for the first time the other night and i was shaking afterwards it was such an adreniline rush leading up to it . but i cant see where that rush comes into it if your standing in a corner stabbing your mate :mad:

I play FFA a lot (PS3), i reckon you get boosters about 1 game in every 15. If you hear a nuke siren, check the scoreboard, usually there's someone with 25-1 kill death ratio, and someone at the bottom with 1-25. Next highest score is usually a good bit down.

Yeah, that's it, what's the point? I can't see the point in leveling up using that method either. Once you're past around level 13 you have decent enough guns, there's no excuse.

Saw some guys doing it on Terminal yesterday. They were well hidden. They were outside, right in the corner (the corner near the escalators) behind some air freight crates. I didn't even know you could get in behind the crates.

there is a gap between 2 of em facing the window, but you need to crouch down to get... i tend to stick a claymore in there if i spawn down that side incase a few boosters head in that way

Yup that's right i love boosting but don't worry im not one of those noobs.

Reason why i love it so much is hunting them down and watch them squirm after killing them at 20-24 kills

I've been playing a lot of FFA recently and every few games i come across them and that's when the adrenalin starts pumping! I'll give you a mini booster pwning guide!

Step 1: Creating the correct class:

Perk 1: Marathon - so you can run around the map quickly
Perk 2: Cold Blooded - must use this since they will have air support
Perk 3: Sit Rep - makes it easier to find their tac insertions or you can use ninja if you want a more difficult hunt.

The weapons are up to you but i suggest killing them with a bang so a RPG, thumber, noobtube or c4 are great to use!

Step 2: Finding them:

Boosters are usually always in FFA but they can be found in TDM but i only saw this twice. A massive give away is identical clan tags or if two people are talking a lot, be suspicious boosters really are this stupid.

A tip which helped me a lot is spectating at the beginning or if you enter a match halfways have a flick through the players and what you want to look for is cold blooded and/or a tac insertion.

Also get use to checking the scoreboard often and if someone is 10-0 or 10-1 look for some who is 0-10 or similar.

And the last tip would be listening for frequent silienced weapons or knifes and keeping an eye on the kill log.

Step 3: Pwning the little noobs!

You want to cause as much annoyance to them so i suggest waiting till they have around 20 kills to pop out and place a RPG into them! Dont leave it till 24 kills incase you mess up somehow (it happens ).

Finally the infamous message send them a little message to really rub it in, i usually send "AWWW GF NOOB!#$!" but now i changed my clan tag to [LAW] and will now say something like "DON'T MESS WITH THE LAW" One last thing is once you kill them keep an eye that they dont change roles. Happend to me on Rundown so ended up killing two boosters in one match (one was on 24 kills :cool:).


That's it! Booster hunting is mad craic and i got into it from watching Sandy Ravage's Booster Justice vids (check em out for the lulz).

Boosters pwned so far: 15 and rising fast-ish :P

One last thing: If i happen to bump into you boosting you better be hiding well or THE LAW will sort ya out :cool:

Ah love hunting boosters I met a couple last night english kids who didn't mute the rest of us so we were on Estate and kept using Meeting points A,B,C I worked out where they were and enjoyed hunting them down. Anyway game lobby closed So I sent one of them a friend request which he accepted lol, Met some Italian dude ruined his boosting but sent him a friend request and he accepted too So when I want to I can follow them into game and kill their Boosting exploits

I was playing ffa on underpass and out of the 8 only 2 of us werent boosting :O Needless to say I racked up in the kills and took down all there usernames. Im very tempted to make a montage on all the boosters i find. I always message them and say: "Say hello to Youtube" I have a list of around 35 or 40 at the moment with nuke boosters.

At the end of the day they can be 10th pres and have all weapons and callsigns and whatever they want but ill still own them. Im staying on my 1st pres at level 70 and will never pres. As for punishing them well i always play with a few mates in HCTDM or HCHQ or even HCSD and when shield boosters are on our team we just walk between them killing one of them.

The other day was quite sweet and unique whereby myself, 3 Geordie lads and two other guys (who didnt even have a mic) decided for the next map (Invasion) to just go hunting for the boosters. Was funny, brought a tear to my eye almost! All of us running around not shooting one another until they got the message and finally left the lobby.

Evolution dictates that booster hunting itself will become a valid target, push it to the next level, find the boosters, wait for the hunter, identify him then take him out before he gets the next round of boosters. Naturally a BH (booster hunter) would be a good player therefore requireing skill to successfully take him out thus giving the BHH (booster hunter hunter) a good rush, no?

Granted this give the boosters a bit of an easier time but f**k them wasters!

i see it once every two day on hardcore hq pro.
i always stop them until they leave, very satisfying i think, it ends up with me getting a good KDR and both of them dying alot.

one group kept this going for 5 maps, once they were on the same team and just shot eachothers sheilds with LMGs, hardcore so it counts i think.
but i kept it up, getting messages of please stop....etc... or "asshole". no boosters have ever got past 5-6 kills with me after them.
