To they honestly think that gives a good impression of the brand? Do be honest it reminds me of the rotton stench of yellow Heineken pooh that can be seen at the end of every portaloo K People only by it because it’s the only beer you can get there… thanks for turning me off my favourite beer

If people aren't breathing, they aren't drinking. Simple really.

Ok, I gather we've just jumped into the middle of some conversation in your head.
Can you give us the start of it again?

Heineken do that Green Spheres thing, they seem to be trying very hard to become a drink associated with music

i can nearly be sure that heineken pint glasses with heneiken in them were visable in the bar in that show "fair city " as i passed through the sittingroom earlier. I thought product placement was banned for such programmes? maybe someone working in rte is getting free heineken for life to have it feature on our screens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,941 ✭✭✭krustydoyle

there associated with it because its somehow seen as a popular beer among 18-24 year olds.. i dont drink it myself but i understand there reason for getting behind it.. it generates sales and sales mean profits... plain and simple really

    €€€€€€€€€€!!

They have exclusivity selling it as the only beer available in the arena. Cash register is ringing! Also, if you look closely at the Oxegen logo you'll see that the "en" is the same font and colour as the Heinken logo. Companies pay big bucks to have their name included in a festival title (like Jameson Dublin International Film Festival), but they've done it much more subtly here.

Its because not many other brands can afford to sponsor it.

All your fancy german beer brands won't do it. The cost to sponsor on top of the expected market increase isn't viable.

Heinken have the money to back it up, plus a recognisable logo. You mightn't like it, but you'll bloody well drink it if you have to.

A better quality beer will be associated with smaller gigs that attract a different market, this can include product launches.

Is that not Coors light - Sorry for ruining it :o lol

I think Millers tagline is "Genuinely Easy" - which also works in the context of the above pun :D

    I'll stop now :pac:

If you create a thread on the Help Desk you'll jump to the top of the queue and get the two accounts merged.

The admins and techs got a few thousand emails after the hack and it takes a little bit of time to move through it all.

see this is the thing... you can bring your own drink but your only allowed to drink it in the campsite... so when you get into where the bands are you have to drink Heineken... and I used to like it but now I hate it...

poisonated... mmm yes would much prefer miller... although.. what if that turned everyone’s sh*t yellow... then we would hate that too!
