Are many makes / models offering a €4000 Scrappage deal?

    I know Nissan do, http://www.galway-nissan.com/.

I would appreciate your help in compiling a list of dealers / makes / models, (if any) that offer a €4000 Scrappage deal.

Government scrappage is only €1500, any more than that is just a cash discount. I'd concentrate on the car and the price you pay, the discount is only a number.

I don't get what you mean. The discount is a number but it reduces the price you pay? I just would like to know which dealers are offering the largest advertised standard scrappage + discount so that then it may be easier to concentrate on and narrow down the car.

Hyundai do it on certain models.

The discount only reduces the price relative to the RRP. Imagine two ice cream sellers, one is charging €1.20 for a cone but is offering 20% off, the other is charging €1 for the same cone but is only offering 10% off. Like I said, the discount is irrelevant - all that matters is the price you pay.:)

Don't let the discount decide the car you buy, just cause it has the biggest discount. Some of the cars may have been available for lower than the RRP before the scrappage scheme anyway, and a big discount figure may make it look tempting but may not paint a true picture.

Decide on a budget for your car, as well as what your priorities are and then research cars in your budget.

Fiat scrappage ranges from 1,500 to 7,650 depending on the model:

Renault: (I heard these have expired but I seen an advert on the tv this morning so maybe not)
    6,300 of a Grande Megane, 3000 off a twingo...
