Ikea etc Bamboo

I noticed Ikea and a few of the asian shops selling bamboo plants with a small root structure and a few small leaves..it says to keep them in water etc etc Just wondering does anybody know if they can be transplanted to grow in soil like proper bamboo?

this kind of bamboo will not grow in the soil. this bamboo need to has a water all the time. if you wont get bamboo which grow in the soil you have to go to the garden center and ask there

Could it be phyllostachys heteroclada? Are you planning some waste water treatment ? If you are, its too late its already been done.
