Benfica @ 6/4 looks too good to turn down for me

    Torres First goalscorer @ 9/2

He's in great form, always likely threat

Having watched Benfica destroy my team Everton i cant look past Benfica at 6/4. Di Maria is a class act.

Everton were in bits when they played them.

I firmly believe one must seek out value in this life to enjoy a long gambling career :) Win, lose or draw Benfica at 6/4 I don't consider value at home to Liverpool. The way I look at it Man City were a similar if not bigger price at the City of Manchester Stadium. Would Benfica be where Man City are in the prem this year ?

So I'll be having a bit on Betfair, Liverpool to win both halves at 11.0 (10 to 1 before the 5% to betfair). I reckon Torres at 9/2 isn't bad value but I backed him to get the 1st against Sunderland at 5/2 (p1ss poor value really) and backed SG to get the first goal in the last Europa game so will be giving that market a miss.

And Liverpool are constantly in bits! Sorry had to do it

Anyways Liverpool have only 2 away wins in 10,losing last 3.Benfica beat second place Braga 1-0 on the weekend and 3rd place Porto 3-0 the week before that. They play some of the most attractive football I've seen all season.I just hope its common sense that's pushing me towards Benfica rather then my loathing of pool fans!

I'm going with benfica to win 2-1
They're defence is unreal, and they score more goals.

No Saviola tonight. Wonder if this will affect them much? I hope they don't have to change the formation!

I'm thinking that Aimar might start with Carlos Martins, the 2 of them behind Cardozo.Dunno if yourman Alen Kardec is good enough for a start upfront, not sure about Nuno Gomes if he's injured or not

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it Sporting Lisbon who walloped Everton a few weeks back?

Looks like Aimar will start alright, he was rested at the weekend. Came on as a sub. I'll be waiting for the line-up's before I place a bet

Liverpool are a shambles away from home, and Benfica have won almost every match at home this season, bar one in August. Oscar Cardozo has 6 goals to his name in this competition and should add more tonight.

I don't personally have any money on this one tonight, but there is great value to be had in Cardozo to score first, or anytime for those who are more careful with their money

    HT/FT - Liverpool / Benfica @ 30/1

BTW - I love the way people on here don't give a **** about emotions when betting for/against teams! Plain to see a lot of time when (like in this thread) pro/anti Liverpool people are out, other nights pro/anti man utd/arsenal, etc

    WHYYYY?

I'm a Liverpool fan, but VERY rarely bet on match outcome. I've only done this tonight because the odd's are nice

I did Benfica to win 3-1 @ HT, but if im honest i couldnt see them scoring from open play after the first goal.
