In a move to help with the exchequer deficit, the HSE have ask all Dentists treating medical card patients to send any silver of Gold fillings, crowns or bridges, from extracted teeth, to a central collection point for melting down into ingots. The price of gold and silver has skyrocketed over the last number of months and following HSE cutbacks and pay cuts, the minister has insisted that all precious metals are recovered and sold on the open market.

Minister Hearney stated "The medical Card patient must do their part to help the economic recovery by donating what they can. This move will generate 500,000 euro a year for the HSE"

The Irish Dental Association have yet to comment, however Dr. Phil McCavity of swords, Dublin, stated that any minister could attend his surgery at any point today and have all their teeth removed free of charge as a sign of solidarity with the beleaguered medical card patient.

Fair Play to this Guy, at least the people of Iceland stood up to the bond markets(and without retribution), if we can have a referendum over something insignificant like the Lisbon treaty, we should demand a referendum over the bank bailout.
The civil war gombeen tweedle dum and tweedle dee politics has got to stop otherwise this nation is going to be the next Argentina.
Better to take all our pain upfront now rather than asking our kids to pay for our folie de grandeur.
The government are simply boiling the frog.
