GOOGLE, meanwhile, has dreamed up a slew of April Fools including the Google Wave.

The company is offering to send an actual human to tell users when there is a new Wave in your inbox.

It's also offering a new Google application - Translate for Animals.

'We've always been a pet-friendly company at Google, and we hope that Translate for Animals encourages greater interaction and understanding between animal and human,' the company says.

'Translate for Animals is an application for Android phones that recognises and transcribes words and phrases that are common to a species, like cats for example.

'To develop Translate for Animals, we worked closely with many of the world's top language synthesis teams, and with leaders in the field of animal cognitive linguistics, including senior fellows at the Bodleian Library in Oxford.'

Faced with thousands of football fans descending on South Africa for the World Cup, hotels have reportedly resorting to floating rooms.

If you go to Google Street View, there's an option to change it to '3D', but you have to wear glasses!
