Hi, I have a lump on the hard palate for 6 month, its pain free, and smooth texture, it gets bigger recently, I went to a Dentist and recommended the Dental Hospital, but I heard some people had bad experiences with it, can anyone recommend a good doctor or a hospital that is specialized in this type of issue, I am quite scared.

    thanks!

    Hi Cican

Of course you are scared but you need to get this seen to. I cant give an indication about what the lump imight be without an examination but the vast majority of such lumps are harmless and need little if any treatment.

You have been referred to the Dental Hospital and there is excellent oral medicine and oral surgery facilities there, so get an appointment for yourself and put your mind at ease.

on a lighter note, one of the receptionists in a place i used to work in asked another associate what the blister on her palate was (more than likely a cheese burn from pizza!), she was told it was "fellatio palate".
then she came and asked me what fellatio palate was. i couldn't stop laughing for ages!

    Thanks for the pm.

Have got a Pathological analysis result, it is a Gland Tumor, currently looks benign, a surgery is needed to remove it. Hope everything will be ok.

    Hi cican

glad you got it looked into. That was a fast result and it is great that it is benign. Most salivary gland tumours are benign and once removed usually cause no further problems

    Best of luck

Excellent, glad you are getting this sorted and that it was nothing sinister. Gland tumours are uncommon but not rare, suppose if you have to have something wrong it might as well be interesting. Did you go the Dr. Gregory House M.D. ???

Thanks! It is very hard to tell the causes for this type of tumor.

No, the Dr. House is too far away :(.

The surgery date is set, start having the jitters these days...
