Non Fas Course

    Hi All,

    Is it possible to do a course with fas, but one that they dont provide. I remember being told by a fas officer before, but that was a year ago that if there was not a course that i wanted to do with them i could find my own one and they would pay for it. Could anyone help me out here.

    I asked them about this recently and was told that it was technically possible but highly unlikely they'd fund a course from an external provider because their regional budgets have been massively cut.

    In the unlikely event they could fund your course, there are lots of conditions that must be met, including the course provider being on Fas' list of approved external providers.

    I've been told that i can get up to e1250 for a course provided by Chevron Training Institute.

    Thanks for your help. The course I want to do is only up and running recently, but ill give it a try with fas and see if I get any were. :)
