Wanna do about 80 -100km on Sat as it looks to be the best day of weekend - Wickla is out due to sneachta so was thinking Naul , Skerries directions

Any advice on a route ? Starting Portmarnock

R132 to Blakes Cross, then take right turning to Lusk, on to Rush, and up the coast road to Skerries. Take the Balbriggan (coast road out of Skerries), after a couple of km take the left under a railway bridge and go up the hill towards Ardgillan. At the end of that road take a right to Balrothery. Head down towards the main road (R132 again), turn left onto it and then immediate right, which takes you up to the R122 near its junction with the M1. Turn left onto the R122 and head all the way over to Naul.

At Naul, take a left to head to Ballyboughal, and then either head south towards the airport, or take a left to bring you back to the R132 just north of Blakes Cross

I would add that some of the road surface leaves something to be desired in places, and I noticed quite a lot of stones on the coast road north of Skerries last night (I think they had been washed up during the previous night's storm). However if you are cycling in daylight you should easily spot any problem areas.

This is a good route, have done it a few times. If you want a bit of extra distance, instead of turning left and heading to Naul I like this loop - http://bit.ly/9keH5d

Not keen on those roads myself...
R132 out is ok, as it's wide but the road towards lusk, rush I find pretty unpleasant to ride!! Cars drove fast and it's a windy, up and down road.

Ride further out and take a spin over the new m1 towards walshestown, stamullen, snowtown is a grand quiet route!!!

    Back through oldtown, ballyboughal etc.....

Thanks for the invite but there is no way I'll be up in time to make 8.30. I was thinking 10am

I'd be interested in joining you, at least for a bit. Do you have a meet up point/time?

(I'll be on my single-speed commuter. I'll drop out if I'm holding you up too much.)
