    Guys
I got a PM early this week from the boards.ie "main men" that this forum is to cease from COB on Friday week.

I have fought the corner but without success, the decision was made that the "forum was too quite and was too much of a commercial platform".

    Rgds.
    :(

Sucks to be honest :( I followed the discussion thread on the mod forumwhen you went public with it there and didn't want to intervene as it's not my forum but I feel your pain :( You fought your corner well!

FFS. Bad form closing here. Someone should set up a PM campaign to get DeVore to change his mind.

Sorry dude (and folks in general) but the investment money only goes so far and server space is at a bit of a premium with the runaway success of the Cuckoos Nest. We're just having to make some cuts in the forums and closing some is the only way forward. It'll be a while before we reduce people's postcounts, don't worry.

I think NAMA should rescue the forum.

I said it before and I'll say it again: destroying worthwhile forums like this one for the sake of the Cuckoo's Nest is ridiculous. Ever since those 'investors' got their fingers in this place has been going downhill.
Apparently Outdoor Pursuits is going next.

    The admins are sellouts.

    It wasn't just the admins.
The CMods including myself (puts hands up) in fairness played a major part in the push of both this and other forums. The reasoning behind this will be made clear in due course.
Before I'm attacked - I was against the idea of closing this forum.

    That's a pity - but if it's necessary than that's that I suppose.

Yop, thanks for all the hard work in here :)

I thought it was bad having the Horse Racing and Equestrian fora merged, but I actually feel quite lucky that they'll still be around, even if they'll now be known as the 'Equestrian and Horse Racing forum'.

Even though I was more a lurker than a poster here, I'm sorry to see the forum go.

Ok, I have had a wee chat with the powers that be and there maybe a compromise on this.

I left the thread open Here for you to view.

I still look forward to the unified Equestrian, Horse Racing and Interior Design forum.:) Maybe in 364 days.

I'm sure you would have found it a most interesting experience modding the merged Equestrian and Horse Racing forum... And with Interior Design added it would really have encouraged enlightening and lively discussion!

And yes, glue has been made from horses: http://www.cartoonstock.com/directory/g/glue_made_from_horses.asp
