Is this usual or can it be left out?.....doing up the mass booklet at the mo and to be honest this part sounds a little cheeeeesy.....was in jewellers today and they had an offer of giving a free silver coin with all bands purchased.....I fail to see the significance......

I've only ever been to one wedding where they did this. Remove it if you don't feel comfortable, I don't plan on doing it at my own wedding either. :)

Our priest told us to do anything we want (within reason) and to personalize the mass as much as possible, so it seems you can drop or add what you like. Mind you, he objected when I started writing the gospel myself :D
