Last night, after watching 22 grown men chasing after a ball of air bayed on by 60000 other grown men wearing their heros shirts, I decided to join my girl to spend some "snuggle time" together.
She tuned into Jersey Shore.
Jesus sweet suffering.
I gave it 5 minutes and I couldnt bear it anymore.
Why do people lower their intellengance to and watch this drivel?
Its totally stupid.
Its like buying the Daily Sport to check the stock markets.Useless.

I love it, I could easily go from Mad Men to Jersey Shore in one sitting For scripted shows I demand the best (Mad Men, The Wire, Dexter etc). For reality TV, we all know it's ****e so why would you ever watch an average reality show? Jersey Shore is the most mind-numbing so bad it's good guilty pleasure I've came across in years, although Pineapple Dance Studios is up there too! If you're gonna watch Reality TV, you should watch the craziest that's out there. If Mad Men is a restaurant quality steak then Jersey Shore is the equivalent of a chipper on a sat nite, you know it's good for you but it feels right!

It is a superb show, you just have to get into the spirit. I despise most reality shows but this has a bit of an edge to it.

You won't see this sort of thing scripted into The Hills!

And the guy who punched her wasn't one of her housemates .He was a high school gym teacher. The punch wasn't shown on US tv so I don't know will it be shown on UK tv.

I normally hate MTV coz they seem glorify rich spoilt kids (sweet sixteen, Hills etc...) but id like to think that anyone watching this show would hate to be anything like these characters. MTV are portraying these guys as idiots, which they are!

Its hilarious, the situation takes himself v.seriously yet is one of the most comedic characters on the show.
His 'boys' as seen as tanned empty headed dopes with no future and if you kicked any of the girls in the arse a cóck would probably fall out.

I love it, Ronnie talking bout his crazy dance moves with is basically tougue out and stamping on the ground like a retarded Rhino and the best thing about it is....he so proud of it!

Still after this they will be all over tv and magazines, milking their 15mins and probably a second series maybe they ain't that stupid.

I'm sorry I totally have to disagree with this. MTV is glorifying this bull**** and young people are emulating it. Fine that you and I can see that they are idiots, but it's not just the people on this show taking themselves seriously, the people watching the show (not all) are also taking it seriously.
I think everyone from the Hills is a complete moron, but unfortunately for everyone young girls emulated those idiots too, just like they will emulate this crap.

With regards the Hill I am in complete agreement, its is poisonous television. And girls do emulated them, their fashion and their attitude, its awful.

Jersey shore are the other end of the spectrum they are delusional to think that are infact, cool.

While the majority of us do laugh and enjoy ridiculing them i can see a small minority emulating them in some regards but should the show be cancelled because of this stupid minority who think they are cool.

If a person is dumb enough to wana be like Mike 'the situation' who in 20 years will still be working in a tshirt shop then I don't think you have much going for you anyway.

Just downloaded season 1 of this on recommendation of a friend was was blown away. Watched the entire season in 2 days.

Just awesome entertainment.
I heard they were stupid meatheads and sluts the lot of them but I found they wre genuinely amusing and had heart. Take The Situation for example. I could seriously watch that guy all day. He really is solid gold.

I loved when Mike and pauly and vinny were walking in town to hit the bar and he shouts "woah hold up there's three chicks behind us already" and proceeds to chat them up.
I really admire that sort of thing, something I couldn't do in a million years.
Loved when he's on camera as well talking about how Snooki is like his little sister then in the very next scene he's in the hot tub taking off her bikini and scoring with her. lol.

Season 2 will suck though. They all know that they're now household names and in Miami beach everyone will be trying to get on camera with them, girls will hook up with Situation cause he's famous. In season 1 no one had a clue who they were and the guys didn't know how big the show would become - even Obama mentioned the Situation in a speech!(And Situation shrugs when he heard "well everyone knows who the Situation is"!)
