I love the way Marvel are working their way up to The Avengers movie with all these little cameos and tid-bits (Tony Stark cameo in The Incredible Hulk & Captain america's shield in Iron Man). And now, apparently Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) is to make a brief cameo in the upcoming Iron-Man 2.

In this featurette video, as Tony Stark is walking through the prison, you can see a guy in one of the cells with long hair and a beard, who is appaently the afformentioned Chris Hemsworth who is the play Thor in the upcoming Thor and Avengers movies. Check it out @ 1:16 - 1:18

This would be a cool cameo alright and it looks to be a cool movie.

It's all ready been proven that it isn't him. There has been loads of talk about Thor's cameo and if he is in the film do you really see them giving it away in the trailer?

The lightening and the rain which calms The Hulk is a tip to Thor in that movie.

Yeah that's a cool little nod alright.

I also see what you're saying Darko. But maybe it could be something like the alternative opening they had for The Incredible Hulk where we supposedly see Captain America in the ice.

Just recently watched "A Perfect Getaway" which actually isn't a bad film at all. Chris Hemsworth has a small enough part in it, but I found his impression on screen and voice actually pretty commanding and I can see why he was chosen for Thor. Looking forward to it definitely.

Yeah and he was good in Star Trek as Kirk's dad, well for the short time he was in it. I can see him becoming a big draw in Hollywood.

Who'd have thought that a star of Home and Away (with a girl's name) could end up being a bad ass superhero.:eek::confused:

He is not listed on imdb as being in Iron Man 2.

    Just saying.

I dunno, was Samual L Jackson listed for the first one? I also think that it is a legit Thor cameo because if you notice, the camera seems to focus on him for the 2 seconds and away from Tony.

God I love pre-release comic book film speculation. Prob is Thor, prob isn't, we're not gonna know until the film is released. Personally I'd say Marvel have learned their lesson from their total inability to mask Jackson's appearance in the first film and that there's no way in hell this is Thor.

i personnally hate these cameo bits. I find them to be internet fanboy baiting.

In particular the incredible hulk and x men wolverine ones were particulary annoying.

You let it out online that such and such character is going to show up in the movie and it almost magically washes away all initial bad press a movie had.

The incredible hulk with tony stark really got its ass pulled from the fire because of this, initial discussions of the film were swamped with *iron man in hulk?* posts rather then anyone actually listening to the actually comments on the film itself *hey btw its sh!t*

Its not just comic book film, transformers 2 did alot of it aswell with the name drops of a lot of different transformers which had blink and you miss it frame bits.

Iron Man got lucky with its big *OMG ITS F*CKING NICK FURY* moment because for the most part the movie that preceeded it was actually alright.

You know some of us are trying to go in blind to this movie! How about editing that title to Marvel Character Cameo in Iron Man 2?
