    Hi,

    I am looking to dip my feet into the investment world.
    However, I have no idea where to begin! There seems so much info out there that I don't know where to start.

    Any advice?

    You will get much better / more helpful answers if you give more info.

    Age?
    How much do you know?
    What are you hoping to achieve?
    How much have you got to invest?
    Working / college?

    etc

    Age 30
    I know a little but not much. I have no idea how the markets work, or what causes share price to rise/fall. So pretty basic.
    Hoping to gain an insight into how markets work and how to get into buying/selling shares online.
    1k to invest.
    Working.

    Would appreciate any advice. Really am just looking to begin my knowledge of markets/investments.

    1k is not a lot and you will have to pay commissions and stamp duty on your trades so factor that in.
