03 Punto and Exhaust Roaring/Growling

    Anyone ever experience this on a punto? Anyone know if the exhaust is all one piece on a 03 1.2L punto? Maybe just the backbox fecked???? nothing falling off it or obviously wrong. Can't go to garage until monday. Mayay CAT is fecked??

    yours is probably the 60bhp and not 80bhp engine.

    yep, could be any number of things, might even be repairable. best not to worry till they take a look at it.

    Common enough fault, more than likely a part of the back box
    has rotted away(far as remember yours is a 3piece exhaust set-up)
    Fast fit did one for a neighbour coat 90, done in an hour.
    Hope that helps. If unsure get a mechanic or have a good look your
    self umderneath.

    Yes mate, both the front and back boxes disconnected.

    Made an absolutely great noise for such a little engine. I got to be a boy racer for three days. Even had people heckling me, telling me that my car was sh1t3 and that I should get a new one.

    My advice: enjoy it while it lasts. Get out there and give her a good spanking across your favorite driving roads. Just make sure the exhaust doesn't fall off while you're at it.

    A very similar thing happened to the one I have. It was a simple and inexpensive enough fix from what I remember.
