Well, was anyone watching the 8th frame there? When Tian missed the brown, Ronnie just played the brown, blue and pink as if it were just a a knock about in the club.

Words can't even describe what way he played the black.

Your not wrong celticfc. That was absolutely blatant by Ronnie! Ronnie just didn't want to win it. He gave Peng chance after chance in that last frame but the poor wee fella kept losing his bottle on frame ball.

Eventually Ronnie seemed to say fcuk this and potted the blue and pink, left himself perfectly on teh black and then out of nowhere he decides to hit it dead weight, leaving the black over the pocket for Peng to finally prevail. It was as if he was saying "Jesus Peng, I'll make this as easy as I can for you. Just finish it off son"

I'll be surprised if there's not some sort of enquiry into this.

Well the pink, black and the handshake are up on YouTube now:

It's a pity that the brown and blue aren't shown on that clip as he just didn't look bothered while playing to stay in the match when he came back to the table.

Ronnie has now lost his No. 1 ranking to John Higgins regardless of what happens in the rest of the China Open or the World Championship.

What the hell  Didnt see it on eurosport earlier when it was on.

Ronnie never misses shots like that at crucial times in a match :eek:

    That's a joke.

It was a joke to be honest, I think he was trying to give the crowd some more excitement.

The fans watching had a great time in the final frame, chances galore for both players that neither took, with the crowd oohing and aahing after every missed shot.

Still, imagine loosing your No.1 status over a shot like that

i'm fed up of Ronnie and his antics. But mostly I'm sick of pundits excusing his actions like this by saying the usual 'most naturally talented player in history' and how 'he just wasn't motivated to play well today.' He will continue to do crap like this until the public, press and World Snooker actually do something about it

    Jayus...that bad form there alright.

Didnt see the match just result but that shot on the black....Looks like he just played to leave it hangin.

He does do some crazy stuff.....but i suppose he must fed up travelling to some of these tournaments to keep people/sponsors happy......Still no excuse for some of the stuff he does.

I love Ronnie and I think one of the reasons I do is because he can just self destruct at any time and also because of the way he plays.

But watching him play that shot, something seemed a bit fishy!! I wonder if there was any betting irregularities going on?

Because in my mind he threw that game!

Then again Ronnie being Ronnie he might just really not like China and being away from home and what not and just had enough!

def no betting irregularities goin on, but i agree, he dosent like china very much and he dosent like being away from home or too far from home, so its no surprise really.

I dont think hes too bothered about being no.1 or winning the china open for that matter, the world cships is his main goal as far as winning goes, so expect to see a more controlled and focused ronnie at the crucible.
