EDIT: In fact you've joined and seemingly posted 15 one lined(ish) questions randomly around boards. You looking for friends?

I heard it was an acronym for "Really Piglike Giraffes"

Dragon Age: Origins could have been so much more... interesting...

RPG means Role Playing Game, and its best to look it up on www.wikipedia.com for a description.

All the people here are going to "LOL" at you and call you a name "TROLL", just ignore them and keep asking as many questions as you want, they will now say 'FFS'.

    Role Playing Games

You need a couple of 20 side dice, floor plans of a dungeon and little lead soldiers to play them.

    And some nerds.

    Fail the first.

Those that use d20 don't use them alone you need a range of other dice as well.

Fail the second there are systems that don't use d20s at all.

Fail the third very few rpgs use floor plans or mats to play on.

Fail the fourth very few rpgs have dungeons.

Fail the fifth not every rpg is in a fantasy setting.

Fail the sixth, mixing up table top war games with rpgs.

Fail the seventh lead in minatures died off so people won't die off.

Fail the eight Gamers not nerds or gamer geeks if you must, not all gamers are nerds.

Fail the ninth calling other people nerds while posting on the internet on a site which was set up by a bunch of gamers.

Dude talk about a string of crit fails.

yes of course, but he was talking about the generalisation. the D20 tends to be the biggest of the standard dice (oh, aside from the 6 sided one which your brain probably already tried to pick me up on) and therefore, the most well known. try thinking about whats been said instead of getting all defensive because 'oh i play those games and i must make them look as amazing as i think they are'
    Thaedydal wrote:

true, but most ppls idea of a game is that there is a set parameter such as a monopoly board or heck, even the giant mousetrap contraption from the game of the same name. she rubs the lotion on the skin...
    Thaedydal wrote:

he doesnt mean dungeon so much in the traditional sense. what he is referring to is the fictional place the game is taking place like a sky fortress or whatever. the character has to be somewhere to do stuff, amazingly
    Thaedydal wrote:

but what is considered the most traditional? trying to rack up more points because you really like these games and must defend them to the hilt
    Thaedydal wrote:

well, a lot of people like making models out of their characters even if they arent needed. like the 'board', its the image of the game the poster is thinking of.

oooohhhh, getting him on the lead thing. scrape up them points

YES THEY ARE. the rpg games you are talking about are played by nothing but the highest level nerds and geeks (oh yes they are thaed, dont attempt to convince me otherwise or shall i tell tales of gaelcon & such?)

kind of right, but in saying that, is he wrong?

And yet many, many PC games function by it. Including KOTOR, and others.
