Haven't seen any episodes past 3 and 4..

.. girlfriend lost interest so said we'd catch up during the off-season (Summer months).

    How's the season been overall?

It's hard to say without giving away spoilers, but I think it's excellent, just as good as previous seasons, with several subtle changes.

As the American broadcasts are so scattered, you'd be better off waiting for the end of the season and retrieving the episodes by whatever your chosen method is, then watching in bulk.

This is getting really annoying tbh

Id think ill have to watch it again once the season is finished.
    Good so far tho

I must admit I too am getting quite annoyed with the extremely staggered releases of episodes. I wouldnt mind if it was every fortnight but the way it is it doin my head in. Especially since I watched seasons 1-5 on DVD I'm really not used to it.

Beyond that however I think the new season started out pretty well but since coming back after Christmas I felt that it was a bit weaker. Don't get me wrong, I still love the show but just feel that it's not quite as strong as it was pre-Christmas this season.

The breaks are annoying, partly down the Winter Olympics(?), but it's over now so... The person who converted me into watching this show has lost interest due to the breaks, I think.

As for the quality of the season...it started off well, but apart from that I'm not sure there's been much to write home about, really. Some of the medical stuff isn't particularly interesting and is only a backdrop for House and Wilson to be messing, but that's always been fun. When the patient stuff is interesting it tends to be wrapped up quite neatly. Same old House in some respects. :)

Same as. Having been able to watch a few episodes every week for so long, it feels really crappy not seeing it for such long periods at a time.

Obviously there isn't any complex storyline going on underneath that needs to be remembered from one episode to the next... it just seems to run much better on DVD than TV. A lot of shows can be the opposite, but it seems to suit House.

I agree with the others (I even started a very unsuccessful thread about it...)

I'm just not as engaged with the show as in previous seasons even though House/ Wilson have become even more of a double act than ever before and Chase has been written as a much more rounded character since the start of the season. They also had a couple of episodes focus on people other than House and they were a nice change, and the first two episodes of the season (a long time ago now) were a big change from the norm.

Ratings wise, I wonder are we a microcosm for how the show is doing? I hope not!

There has some been some great episodes, the first two and the Cuddy shows being the best. The interaction between House and Wilson is entertaining but the "Team" just seem to be running out of script.

House MD badly needs a more consistent story throughout the season but the show is still enjoyable even if it is very far fetched at times. The scattered approached the schedulers take to the show is really annoying.
