I was wondering if you could help me with this.
I have been trying to think of the name of an old tv show i used to watch when i was little.Cant quite remember whether it was nickelodeon or the den or what?.
It was about a group of kitchen objects that came to life every morning when the humans when out to work.
They all lived on the dresser in the kitchen. The salt and pepper were married to each other and Mrs.Bag , the grumpy tea pot lived on the top shelf.
Also, there was a mischievous mouse that lived behind the plate that he slid across to get to the dresser and caused trouble for all the others.
Also i remember a cuckoo clock on the wall that would chime and everyone would go back to their places before the humans came home.

Its been wrecking my head trying to think of the name of this show and i would really appreciate if you could help me or ask somebody...

I definately remember watching this when I was younger. This may sound strange, but it looked like a French cartoon :o

It also looked like the type of cartoon that tg4 would have translated into Irish, but maybe not. I just cant seem to get a vivid memory of it or its name.

I've just spent the last hour on the internet trying to find the name of that cartoon, but no luck! It did however remind me of another cartoon that used to be on network 2 at about ten past 3 or so? It was set in the clouds or something and everything was pink...and I'm pretty sure it was translated to Irish. Anybody able to help me out?

Yeah It might have been an Irish show? Or else Kablam????

The Irish show had a little girl doing something before the utensils started talking, once she left they woke up. ??????

Were there houses in that cartoon that were actual characters? Might be imagining that. I also remember a very smug looking cat, with a weird grin... Same cartoon?

    EDIT:
Holy ****. I've been trying to think of this cartoon for years.

    Finally stumbled upon it.

Good effort, but that isn't the one I'm thinking of!

Like the cartoon that the OP was thinking of, it looked like it was made on the continent somewhere (in my opinion).

It was a cartoon for very young children..would have been on network two in around 1997...i can just remember the pink clouds!..

It was translated into Irish to Tir na hOige I think.

They don't have any kitchen utensiles in that show. I remember that one from the people that brought you Bouli.

OP, I'm sorry but I don't think I've ever seen that cartoon, but does anyone remember cartoons where:

    1. (I think a movie) It was around Christmas time and there was polar bears in it. I distinctly remember multi coloured balls, almost like Christmas baubles/.

    2. (A cartoon-could have been a VHS) A gang or something caused a rock avalanche and the main characters were trapped and had to use one of those 2 person push carts on a rail line?

    Thanks

The OP's cartoon is The Gingerbread Man.

    51QTN6VR66L._SS500_.jpg

From IMDB: "The fantastical adventures of a newly-baked Gingerbread Man. Left to cool in the kitchen he makes friends with Salt and Pepper (a pair of shakers), and Herr von Cuckoo (a clock), and helps thwart the nefarious plans of The Old Bag (a forgotten teabag) and Sleek the Mouse."

That sounds more like Bagpuss - separate cartoon where the items in a shop came to life.

    Skip forward to 02.00.

That sounds vaguely familiar OP. Was it a cartoon? I remember a kids show where there was a house with kids and then there were short stories sort of. There was something about the kids became small. I remember the kitchen esp cos they had to get from one side to the other. They always tried to get through the breakfast bowl. They used the Cheerios as buoys.

The other one I'm thinking of was of Mr. & Mrs. Brolly.

No it wasn't that. I did a quick google search and it turns out I'm thinking of two different programs (on around the same time). One was about a bunch of kids living in a house the other was Incredible Games:

Skip on to 2:17 too see the Alphabet Soup.

Was the Mr. & Mrs. Brolly one called The Weather people?

OP I am still racking my brains to come up with a name for you, it does sound extremely familiar.
