Hi There!

Two questions! I'm leaving Ireland on my WHV mid-April. I know that after 5 weeks I can file a P50 and get a refund on my taxes (or partial). On the form it asks if I am looking for work, returning to study or travelling abroad. Does it make a difference what I put down on the form?

Second question -my mate is a teacher and he will be joining me in July. He's got a years career break. He won't be getting a P45 but can he still file a P50 and get a tax refund?
