highways and byways in donegal antrim etc just found a pdf copy of a book of a cycle ride from ballyshannon to belfast round the coast in 1899 thought you might be interested published in 1903 theres kindle and other formats as well http://www.archive.org/details/highwaysbywaysin00gwynuoft

What an absolute gem! Thank you very much for posting the link. I'm certain this book was at home when I was growing up - not that I'd have read it then But I'll be making up for it now.

i bought a copy at an antiques fair several years ago (wasnt cheap)

by the same authour quite an eclectic mix
