A question about pyrography

Hi all. I was hoping someone out there would be able to answer my question. (Also hoping this post is in the right place!). I have my eye on a gift for a friend and would would really like to engrave a design onto it using woodburning (pyrography) to give it a personal touch. The dilema is the gift is made with rubberwood. My question is "Is rubberwood suitable for pyrography?" I would be delighted if anybody has the answer. Thanks :cool:

Sounds like a great idea for a gift - I just did a quick search and found that there are items selling that are made of rubberwood that are engraved using the pyrography technique.. so it seems to be possible! Here is one link I was looking at anyway, hope it helps!
