    Hi

I have just gotten a job through FÁS CE Scheme, 19hrs a week.

I am currently getting JSB (a very sad €70p/wk).

Just wondering what story is with pay for it, will i still get SW Payment? How much does the scheme pay etc, Can't figure out the website.....

Normally if you are working your SW payment stops, and you get paid from your employer instead.
If you are working 3 days a week or less, you may qualify for a casual payment but your earnings would be assessed as means against your payment.

FÁS offers grants to community employers towards the cost of hiring people under the scheme. The level of this grant depends on whether participants have child or adult dependants. FÁS does not provide funding for CE workers aged over 65.

The weekly rate for a CE worker based on 19.5 hours worked is as follows:

    2010
    Category of Participant Rate
    Participant without dependants €216
Participant with adult dependant €346.10 maximum*
Each child dependant (full rate) €29.80
Each child dependant (half rate) €14.90

*The amount of the increase for the adult dependant is assessed by the Department of Social and Family Affairs. This means that the rate for a participant with an adult dependant may be reduced if the adult dependant has income, for example, from part-time employment.

    thanks folks

another question - how do they decide if you get full or half rate for dependant child?

sorry if it seems silly to ask but everything counts at the mo

It all depend on what your partner does/earns.
If he works, and earns over a certain amount then you won't get it. Half rate then if he is in receipt of a payment - and he gets half as well.
