My hollowcore provider has said they can preinstall outlets in the hollowcore for vents for a HRV system for e.g. . Is this worth considering?. Are there anyother outlets i should be thinking about?

Chimneys? All my services have been cut out after fitting, builder said it didnt matter to him. I have two chimneys and the HRV, all my cabling runs go through the HRV access.

Chimneys are covered!. Builder would have just cut through I guess? is what he ment?. How did you decide where to put these cut outs, did you work early with the HRV company?

You can cut out the holes for the HRV pipes after you lay the slabs with a kango hammer. That's what I did, there's no problem with it. You need a 6" by 12" hole for two 6" pipes.

If you are buying a German prefabricated house it would be a good idea getting the services cut out, otherwise I wouldnt bother, easier to put them exactly where they need to go when you come to the HRV - you most likely will find an easier way to run the pipework when you have the structure up
